Identity and SIEM expansion

CrowdStrike ended fiscal 2026 with $5.25 billion in annual recurring revenue. The identity security business reached over $520 million in annual recurring revenue, which grew 34% year over year as enterprises increased their focus on protecting human and non-human identities across hybrid environments and cloud applications. This segment grows because many cyberattacks rely on compromised credentials rather than malware. Privileged account security solutions grew more than 170% on a sequential basis, and Falcon Shield, which protects SaaS identities, grew more than 300% year over year in the fourth quarter. The company acquisition of SGNL.ai helps eliminate standing privileges, and CrowdStrike also launched Falcon Next-Gen SIEM to compete with legacy vendors using LogScale technology. The company reports 150x faster search at petabyte scale, and this platform reaches 11PB/day of ingestion across Falcon and third-party data. Customers like Aflac report a 95% reduction in false positives with this tool. The company achieved $1.01 billion of net new ARR in its first year exceeding that milestone. CrowdStrike reported Q4 FY 2026 revenue of $1.31 billion, which grew 23% year over year, and subscription revenue reached $1.24 billion.

Microsoft and SentinelOne rivalry

Microsoft moves its Sentinel experience into the Defender portal, as the Azure-portal experience retires on March 31, 2027. Microsoft Sentinel uses pay-as-you-go or commitment-tier pricing, and one comparison reported a pay-as-you-go analytics rate of $4.30 per GB in East US. SentinelOne released Singularity Agentic Detection and Response in early access on October 21, 2026, while also introducing Singularity ASOC on the same day. SentinelOne runs AI inference on the endpoint agent to detect threats when devices lack internet, whereas CrowdStrike processes behavioral telemetry in the cloud. You should check your Microsoft 365 E5 license terms before you buy a separate EDR tool. Ransomware appears in 48% of breach chains, and SentinelOne offers a one-click rollback feature to revert ransomware-encrypted files. This feature is part of the Singularity Control tier. Microsoft Defender correlates signals across Entra ID, email, and cloud apps. The National Vulnerability Database logged more than 30,000 new CVEs in the most recent reporting period. Vulnerability exploitation drives roughly 31% of breach entry points. SentinelOne’s Singularity platform handles endpoint, identity, cloud, and AI security.

Pricing and market reality

CrowdStrike Falcon bundles vary by module.

Tier Included modules Annual price per device
Falcon Go Next-gen antivirus, device control, mobile protection $59.99
Falcon Pro Firewall management, device control $99.99
Falcon Enterprise EDR, threat intelligence, threat hunting $184.99

CrowdStrike Falcon Enterprise costs $184.99 per device per year, and add-on modules like Identity Protection or Next-Gen SIEM increase this cost. At 500 seats, Falcon Enterprise costs roughly $92,495 list before discounts. Reseller aggregates place the mid-market cost between $200 and $400 per endpoint per year. SentinelOne Singularity Commercial costs $229.99 per endpoint per year and includes identity threat detection and managed threat hunting. Microsoft Defender Suite costs $12 per user per month for customers with Microsoft 365 E3, whereas Microsoft 365 E5 costs $60 per user per month with Teams. For a 5,000-device deployment, industry estimates for EDR can reach $1 million annually. In MITRE Managed Services evaluations, CrowdStrike Falcon Complete achieved 97.7% detection coverage with a mean time to detect of 4 minutes, while SentinelOne reached 88.4% coverage with a 47-minute mean time to detect. CrowdStrike held 17.7% of the worldwide modern endpoint security market in 2022 compared to Microsoft’s 16.4%. Will the integration of Microsoft Defender into the unified portal stop the migration to specialized SIEM platforms? CrowdStrike is the winner for organizations needing deep identity and endpoint correlation without switching consoles.
